Contagious Faith

“Nothing can keep the Lord from saving, whether by many or by few.” – 1 Samuel 14:6

I love this story of epic faith in scripture!  Jonathan and his attendant refused to accept defeat against the Philistines and walked straight into the enemy camp expecting God to provide victory….and He did.  They had no weapons, were significantly out-maned, but in a William Wallace moment, Jonathan proclaims, “NOTHING can keep the Lord from saving..”, marched into the Philistine, camp and struck down the enemy.

And you know what happened next??  Jonathan’s refusal to crumble in what seemed to be the most desperate of situations, ignited the embers of faith that had grown dim in his brothers.  His faith was contagious!!  “When the Israelite men who had been hiding in the hill country of Ephraim heard that the Philistines were fleeing, they join Saul and Jonathan in the battle.  So the Lord saved Israel that day.” – 1 Samuel 14:22

Now, more than ever, our world needs to see a faith that takes action and expects God’s arrival in a MIRACULOUS way.  When this happens, the faith of others will be ignited and they will join us in the fight!  LIVE FAITH!
